Families preparing for the new school year are invited to attend a free school supply drive Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Seagoville Church of Christ.
The community event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at 510 N. Kaufman St. in Seagoville. The event is open to the public, and families may attend at no cost.
Children returning to school will be able to receive free school supplies while available. Organizers will also provide complimentary food and drinks during the two-hour event.
Activities will include a bounce house and games for children. Free developmental skills screenings will also be available to help parents learn more about their child’s early growth and development.
Parents attending the event may receive a free 10-minute massage while their children participate in the activities.
The school supply drive is being presented by the Seagoville Church of Christ and Zan Jason Ayers Turner as a way to help local families begin the school year with needed materials and community support.
Because supplies and some services may be limited, families are encouraged to arrive early.
