RPM Speedway will launch its August schedule with four divisions competing under the lights Saturday, Aug. 1, as the American Crate Late Model Series and RaceSaver Sprint Cars visit the Crandall dirt track.
Rick Murray Electric Factory Stocks and Riddle Brothers Limited Modifieds will complete a diverse program that gives racing fans a combination of full-bodied stock cars, modified machines, late models and open-wheel sprint cars.
The first green flag is scheduled for 8 p.m.
American Crate Late Models Return to Crandall
The American Crate Late Model Series will bring regional touring competitors to RPM Speedway for a featured stop on its 2026 schedule.
Late models are among dirt racing’s most recognizable machines, combining wide bodies, powerful engines and specialized suspension systems built for speed on oval tracks. Their low profiles and broad rear tires allow drivers to carry considerable momentum through the corners.
The Aug. 1 race is listed as a $1,500-to-win event on the series schedule.
Drivers will need to find the right combination of traction and speed as track conditions change throughout the evening. The fastest route around the oval could move from the inside groove toward the outside as additional laps are completed.
RaceSaver Sprint Cars Add Open-Wheel Speed
RaceSaver Sprint Cars will provide another major attraction.
The lightweight, open-wheel cars are designed for acceleration and quick direction changes. Their large wings create downforce while also giving drivers another element to manage as they race through traffic.
Sprint-car competition can change rapidly because a strong start, a well-timed pass or a restart can move a driver through the running order in only a few laps.
The combination of sprint cars and crate late models gives spectators two distinct forms of headline-level dirt-track racing during the same program.
Factory Stocks and Limited Modifieds Complete the Card
The Rick Murray Electric Factory Stocks will continue their season with another competitive appearance at RPM.
Factory Stocks often produce close racing because the cars retain more of the appearance and basic construction associated with production automobiles. Drivers must balance aggression with control while navigating crowded corners and changing track conditions.
The Riddle Brothers Limited Modifieds will also compete. Limited Modified racing combines the open-wheel appearance of a modified with rules intended to control costs and encourage competitive fields.
Together, the four divisions should provide a full evening of heat races, qualifying action and feature events.
Saturday Schedule
The pit gate will open at 5 p.m., followed by the grandstands at 6 p.m. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., with hot laps beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Racing is scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
Fans arriving early will have time to select seats, visit the concession area and watch teams make final preparations before the cars take the track.
Admission and Cooler Policy
General admission is $20. Admission for seniors, military personnel and children is listed at $15, while children younger than 6 are admitted free.
Adult pit passes are $40. Pit passes for children ages 2 through 10 cost $20, and children younger than 2 receive free pit admission.
Personal coolers measuring no larger than 10 inches by 10 inches by 13 inches are permitted for a $10 fee. Beer must be brought in cans rather than glass containers.
Spectators should confirm current event information before traveling because racing schedules can be affected by weather or track conditions.
