Combine Fire Department Seeks Volunteers, Offers Free Fire and Medical Training

The Combine Fire Department is calling on community-minded residents to step up and serve. The department is actively recruiting volunteer firefighters and medical responders, and is emphasizing that no prior experience is necessary — all fire and medical training will be provided.

In addition to foundational training, volunteers who demonstrate dedication may be sponsored to attend the CareFlite First Responders EMT Course and pursue State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA) firefighter certifications — credentials that can open doors to a career in emergency services.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid Texas driver’s license, and reside within one mile of the Combine city limits. The department holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, where volunteers train, plan, and build the camaraderie that comes with serving on the front lines of community safety.

Those interested in learning more or signing up can visit the department’s website at www.combinefire.com/join.html for full details and to begin the volunteer inquiry process.
