Crandall families have a new reason to circle their calendars this July. J Crew Entertainment, in partnership with EVO Entertainment, will host a free outdoor screening of The Minecraft Movie at New City Park on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The community movie night begins at 6:00 PM at New City Park, located at 13125 Lewis Street in Crandall. Organizers are encouraging residents to bring lawn chairs and blankets and to arrive early to claim a good spot on the lawn before the film begins.
The event is free to attend and will include free snacks, free drinks, giveaways, and family friendly activities throughout the evening. Organizers say the goal is to give residents an easy, low cost way to enjoy a summer evening together as a community.
“Whether you’re a longtime Minecraft fan or just looking for a fun night out with the community, this is the perfect way to spend a summer evening,” organizers said in announcing the event. They added that they hope attendees will come early, find a comfortable spot, and make lasting memories with neighbors.
Organizers also extended thanks to EVO Entertainment for sponsoring the summer movie series and helping bring free community experiences like this one to Crandall.
Residents are invited to bring the whole family for a night under the stars featuring one of the year’s most talked about family films, along with the giveaways and activities planned around the screening.
