Families across Seagoville, Crandall, Combine and southern Dallas will have several opportunities to receive school supplies, complete enrollment, meet campus leaders and connect with health and family services from Aug. 1 through Aug. 8.
This guide combines official announcements from Crandall ISD and Dallas ISD, community events shared by the districts and notices previously reported by Shop in Seagoville.

Saturday, Aug. 1
Dallas ISD Back-to-School Registration Kickoff
Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Ellis Davis Field House, 9191 S. Polk St., Dallas
Dallas ISD families can receive assistance enrolling students in prekindergarten through 12th grade. Students registered during the event may receive free school supplies, district-approved backpacks and other services while supplies last.
Parents completing enrollment should bring a birth certificate for new students, a parent or guardian photo ID, proof of address and the student’s immunization record. A Social Security card is optional. Families enrolling a prekindergarten student may need additional eligibility documents.
United Way Community Fair
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Fourth Avenue Church of Christ, 3220 Park Row, Dallas
Dallas ISD included this community fair in its districtwide roundup of events offering school supplies and other back-to-school assistance. Families should arrive early because the district’s notice did not list advance-registration information.
Crandall ISD Back-to-School Bash
Time: 10 a.m. to noon
Location: Heartland Middle School, 2600 Fletcher Road, Heartland
The free event is open to Crandall ISD families. Students can receive a free backpack while supplies last, and parents can meet campus principals and receive assistance with enrollment, transportation and food services.
The event will also include a shot clinic, information about athletics and fine arts, campus PTO registration and representatives from community organizations.
Dallas Dream Center Back-to-School Event
Time: Begins at 10 a.m.
Location: 1900 S. Ewing Ave., Dallas
The Dallas Dream Center event is included in Dallas ISD’s published back-to-school roundup. An ending time was not listed, so families should verify availability before traveling.
Important Seagoville High School Registration Reminder
Shop in Seagoville previously reported that Seagoville High School families were being asked to complete student registration by Aug. 1 through the district’s SchoolMint system.
Families who still need assistance should contact the campus before the first day of classes. Seagoville High School is located at 15920 Seagoville Road in Dallas.

Jenny’s Treat and Shade Tree Blessing Back-to-School Bash
Time: Begins at 3 p.m.
Location: 114 W. Hobson Ave., Dallas
This community event is also included in Dallas ISD’s list of back-to-school activities offering supplies and other assistance. The district’s announcement did not provide an ending time or distribution requirements.
Thursday, Aug. 6
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas Back-to-School Fair
Time: 4 to 6 p.m.
Oak Cliff location: 2907 Linfield Road, Dallas
The fair will offer free health screenings, community vendors, games, stuffed backpacks and a fresh-produce distribution.
School supplies will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Each child must attend to receive a backpack, and families are encouraged to preregister for the health fair and food distribution.
Seagoville North Elementary Meet the Teacher
Time: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Location: Seagoville North Elementary School, 1906 Seagoville Road, Seagoville
Shop in Seagoville previously reported that Seagoville North Elementary will welcome families for Meet the Teacher night. The event gives students an opportunity to visit the campus, locate classrooms and meet school employees before classes begin.
Families should confirm the schedule directly with the campus before attending.
Friday, Aug. 7
Dallas Mayor’s 30th Annual Back-to-School Fair
Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Fair Park, 3809 Grand Ave., Dallas
Registration: Required
The large annual event will provide free backpacks, grade-appropriate school supplies, health and dental screenings, vision services, haircuts, activities and information from community organizations.
Families with children in prekindergarten through 12th grade may qualify when the students attend Dallas ISD or live within the City of Dallas. All families may register, although priority is given to households meeting federal income guidelines.
Parents should bring a photo ID, proof of residency and proof of student enrollment. Students are not required to attend, but they may accompany their families.
Seagoville High School Back-to-School Night
Time listed locally: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Location: Seagoville High School, 15920 Seagoville Road, Dallas
A locally circulated notice previously reported by Shop in Seagoville lists a Back-to-School Night where families can learn about student schedules, teachers, campus expectations, extracurricular programs and available resources.
Because one circulated version of the event notice contained a weekday and date inconsistency, families should confirm the Aug. 7 schedule directly with Seagoville High School before traveling.
Saturday, Aug. 8
MLK Back-to-School Drive-Through Festival
Time: Begins at 9 a.m.
Location: 2922 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Dallas
This drive-through distribution is included in Dallas ISD’s community-event roundup. Families should arrive early and remain alert for instructions concerning traffic flow and supply availability.
For Oak Cliff Back-to-School Festival
Time: 9 a.m. to noon
Location: For Oak Cliff Community Campus, 907 E. Ledbetter Drive, Dallas
The 12th annual festival plans to distribute 4,000 free school-supply kits. Families can also visit community-resource organizations and enjoy live entertainment, free food and children’s activities.
Supplies will be distributed while they last. Registration will be completed at the event beginning at 9 a.m.
Prism Health North Texas Healthy Start-to-School Bash
Time: 9 a.m. to noon
Location: Oak Cliff Health Center, 219 Sunset Ave., Suite 116-A, Dallas
The free event will offer backpacks and school supplies while supplies last, along with sports physicals, free haircuts and assistance scheduling vaccine and primary-care appointments.
Families can also participate in games, music, face painting, bounce houses and other activities. Advance registration is encouraged to reserve a backpack and reduce check-in time.
Back-to-School and Health Fair at Truett Elementary
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Truett Elementary School, 1810 Inadale Ave., Dallas

Faith Restore Inc. Back-to-School Bash
Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: 3114 Clymer St., Dallas
The community bash is another event listed by Dallas ISD for families seeking school supplies and other back-to-school assistance. Distribution limits and registration requirements were not included in the district’s announcement.
Seagoville Church of Christ School-Supply Drive
Date: Saturday, Aug. 8
Location: Seagoville Church of Christ, 510 N. Kaufman St., Seagoville
Shop in Seagoville previously reported that the church will host a free school-supply drive for area families.

What Families Should Bring
Parents attending enrollment or registration events should consider bringing a photo ID, proof of address, the student’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of school enrollment.
Families should also save registration confirmation emails or QR codes on their phones. Some events require children to be present, while others allow parents to collect supplies without students.
Backpacks, uniforms, school supplies, health services and food are generally available only while supplies last. Arriving early does not guarantee assistance, but it may improve a family’s opportunity to receive limited items.

Crandall ISD’s public back-to-school information currently confirms the Aug. 1 districtwide bash. A complete 2026 list of campus-specific orientations and Meet the Teacher events was not displayed on the public pages reviewed.
Crandall ISD families should monitor ParentSquare and their individual campus pages for new announcements. The district identifies ParentSquare as its official family-communication platform.
Dallas ISD families should also check their campus websites, text messages and district communications. School-level welcome nights and orientation schedules may be announced or revised separately from the district calendar.
Dallas ISD begins classes Tuesday, Aug. 11, while Crandall ISD begins Thursday, Aug. 13.
