Keep Seagoville Beautiful has recognized two local properties for their contributions to the appearance and character of the community, naming its July Yard of the Month and Business Landscape of the Month recipients.
The July Yard of the Month honor was presented to a Seagoville residence featuring a neatly maintained lawn, colorful plants and an inviting front porch. The property demonstrates how regular care and thoughtful landscaping can improve the appearance of an entire neighborhood.
Seagoville Veterinary Clinic was selected as the July Business Landscape of the Month. The clinic’s landscaped entrance includes native-style plants, flowering vegetation, decorative stone and dark mulch surrounding its distinctive roadside sign.
The award also recognizes the business for maintaining a clean, welcoming exterior that contributes positively to the surrounding commercial area.
August Yard Nominations Open
Keep Seagoville Beautiful is now seeking nominations for the August Yard of the Month.
Residents who see an attractive, well-maintained yard within the community are encouraged to submit it for consideration. Nominations may be posted in response to the organization’s social media announcement or sent through a private message.
Each nomination should include the property address and a photograph of the landscape. Residents may nominate a neighbor, another property they regularly pass or any residential yard they believe deserves community recognition.
The program gives residents an opportunity to thank homeowners whose work adds color, beauty and pride to Seagoville neighborhoods.
Businesses May Also Be Nominated
Nominations are also being accepted for the August Business Landscape of the Month.
Community members may recommend a local business that has maintained an attractive landscape, a clean storefront or a particularly welcoming exterior.
Business nominations may also be posted publicly or submitted privately with the business address and a photograph of the landscape or storefront.
The recognition is not limited to elaborate landscaping. A clean entrance, maintained planting beds, trimmed vegetation, attractive containers and a litter-free exterior can all contribute to a business being considered.
Supporting Community Pride Since 2006
Keep Seagoville Beautiful is an affiliate organization of Keep Texas Beautiful. The local organization was established by city ordinance in 2006 to implement beautification, litter-control and community-improvement programs.
KSB sponsors projects and activities intended to improve the appearance of Seagoville while encouraging residents, property owners and businesses to take greater pride in their surroundings.
Its work also includes litter cleanup and control efforts designed to improve local thoroughfares and other visible areas throughout the community.
The organization’s mission is to create an environment that continuously encourages citizens to improve their quality of life and strengthen their sense of pride in Seagoville.
The Yard of the Month and Business Landscape of the Month programs support that mission by recognizing residents and business owners who help make the city cleaner, more attractive and more welcoming.
