Healthcare students preparing to return to classrooms, laboratories and clinical settings are being encouraged to make sure their Basic Life Support certification is current before the new semester begins.
Treasured Hands Lab in Crandall will offer two American Heart Association BLS Provider training classes in July. The courses are designed to provide participants with hands-on instruction and practical skills they may need when responding to emergencies in healthcare environments.
Upcoming classes are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, July 25, and 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 29. Both sessions will be held at Treasured Hands Lab, located at 1401 U.S. Highway 175, Suite 230, in Crandall.
Basic Life Support training is commonly needed by students entering healthcare programs, completing clinical assignments or beginning employment in medical settings. The upcoming courses may be especially relevant for nursing, medical assistant, emergency medical technician, dental, dental hygiene, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, certified nursing assistant and allied health students.
New healthcare employees who need to obtain or renew their BLS certification may also benefit from the training.
