The Seagoville Youth Soccer Association will bring local players back to the field Friday, July 17, for the second day of its free Summer Soccer Camp.
Friday’s session will run from 8 to 10 a.m. and will focus on scrimmages and small-sided games. The format gives participants an opportunity to put their soccer skills into action while gaining experience in a fun, game-like environment.
Players should arrive wearing comfortable athletic clothing with soccer cleats or athletic shoes. Shin guards are required for the scrimmage session, and participants are encouraged to bring plenty of water to remain hydrated throughout the morning.
The free camp is designed to welcome young athletes with different levels of soccer experience. Friday’s activities will emphasize participation, teamwork and applying fundamental skills during live play.
The association will also offer in-person registration for the fall soccer season during the event. Families registering a player should bring a form of payment and a document verifying the player’s date of birth, such as a birth certificate or passport.
The scrimmage session provides young players with another opportunity to stay active this summer, enjoy time on the soccer field and connect with the Seagoville youth soccer community.
