Seagoville Planning and Zoning Commission to Consider Highway 175 Rezoning Request

The Seagoville Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, located at 702 N. Highway 175 in Seagoville.

The agenda includes two public hearing items that could impact future development and transportation planning in the city.
Commissioners are expected to consider Case No. 2025-046PD, a requested zoning change for property located at 900 S. U.S. Highway 175. The request seeks to change the zoning from Apartment and Commercial zoning districts to a Planned Development Zoning District. The commission will conduct a public hearing, discuss the request, and make a recommendation to the Seagoville City Council.

The commission will also consider Case No. 2026-014TPA, which involves a proposed amendment to the city’s adopted Thoroughfare Plan. That item also includes a public hearing, discussion, and a recommendation to the City Council.

Before taking up the agenda items, the commission is scheduled to consider approval of the minutes from its June 23, 2026 meeting.

Residents who wish to speak during the public comments portion of the meeting must register with the board liaison before addressing the commission. Registered speakers are allowed three minutes to speak on items listed on the agenda. According to the posted notice, the commission may not discuss or take action on comments made during the public comments portion of the meeting.
