Seagoville City Council will meet Monday at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers at City Hall, 702 N. Hwy 175, with an agenda that includes canvassing runoff election results, a Mayor Pro Tem selection, and a proposed agreement with Motorola Solutions.
The meeting opens with the Mayor’s Report and a period for public comments. Anyone wishing to speak must register with the City Secretary in advance and will be allowed three minutes at the podium. Council members are barred from discussing or acting on anything raised during that segment.
Runoff Election Results
The council will consider a resolution canvassing and declaring the results of the June 13, 2026 runoff election for Council Member Place 1. If approved, the council will then administer the Oath of Office and issue the Certificate of Election to the winning candidate. The agenda packet does not name the candidates or report vote totals.
Consent Agenda
Two items appear on the consent agenda. The first is approval of meeting minutes from the June 8, 2026 council session. The second is a resolution declaring certain city property as surplus and authorizing City Manager Carey D. Neal Jr. to sell, trade, or otherwise dispose of it under the city’s code of ordinances. The agenda does not specify which property is being declared surplus.
Mayor Pro Tem Selection
Council will discuss and consider selecting a Mayor Pro Tem for the 2026 to 2027 term. Harold Magill currently holds the position.
Water Line Easement
A resolution on the agenda would authorize the release of the city’s interest in a 5,134 square foot, or 0.119 acre, public water line easement located within the John D. Merchant Survey, Abstract No. 850. The resolution would also authorize the City Manager to execute documents needed to complete the relocation.
Motorola Solutions Agreement
Council will consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a platform migration and system upgrade agreement with Motorola Solutions, including approval of its terms and conditions. The agenda does not detail which city systems are involved or the cost of the agreement.
Police Department Compensation
The council will also discuss and review compensation for the Police Department. No further detail on this item appears in the published agenda.

Council members and city staff are expected to share items of community interest, which under state law can include thanks, congratulations, condolences, holiday schedule updates, recognitions, event reminders, and public safety announcements.
