Rick Howard has won the runoff election for Seagoville City Council Place 1, according to unofficial results from the Joint and Special Runoff Election held June 13, 2026.
Howard received 83 votes, or 53.90 percent, defeating Lisa Niedermeier, who received 71 votes, or 46.10 percent. A total of 154 votes were cast in the race, according to Dallas County’s unofficial summary results report.
The runoff was necessary after neither candidate secured a majority in the May 2 general election. Howard had led that race with 202 votes, followed by Niedermeier with 186 votes and Edward G. Rasmussen with 159 votes.
