Victory Baptist Church in Seagoville is inviting local kids on a journey back to ancient Rome this spring, as the church prepares to host VBS 2026: Rome, Paul and the Underground Church, a four day Vacation Bible School event running May 31 through June 3.
The event, hosted by Victory Baptist Church Seagoville (VBC Seagoville) at 900 N Highway 175 Frontage Road, is open to children from Pre K through 5th grade and is free and open to the public, both on and off Facebook.
According to the church’s event description, kids will step back in time to ancient Rome to discover what it means to stand strong in their faith. The week is built around themed snacks, hands on crafts, action packed games, engaging Bible lessons, and uplifting music, all designed to bring the story of the Apostle Paul to life for young learners.
An Immersive Trip to the Early Church
This year’s curriculum, Rome: Paul and the Underground Church, is part of Group Publishing’s Holy Land Adventure VBS series, a program used by churches across the country to recreate the sights, sounds, and culture of the early Christian church for kids and families.
The theme transports children to the bustling streets of ancient Rome, where they will experience marketplace style activities and hear how believers in the early church, including Paul himself, held onto their faith even while facing persecution and hardship. Organizers say the goal is for kids to leave the week understanding how to live boldly for Christ, even when times are difficult, just as the early believers did.
