The Combine Police Department released its Monthly Activity Report for April 2026, showing a more active month than May, with three Part I crimes, one Part II crime, and a sharp rise in truck route enforcement.
Criminal Activity
According to the department’s report, Combine recorded three Part I offenses in April: one burglary, one larceny/theft, and one motor vehicle theft. No criminal homicides, forcible rapes, robberies, assaults, or arson cases were reported. Year to date, the department has logged the same three Part I crimes, all occurring in April.
One Part II offense was recorded in April, a weapons offense. No fraud, criminal mischief, narcotics, DWI, disorderly conduct, or public intoxication offenses were reported. The weapons offense also marks the only Part II crime logged so far this year.
Traffic Enforcement
Officers conducted 43 traffic stops in April, bringing the year to date total to 201. Of those stops, 37 resulted in citations, pushing the year to date citation count to 161.
Arrest Activity
The department made one misdemeanor arrest in April and no felony arrests. Year to date, the department has made two misdemeanor arrests and zero felony arrests.
Crash Investigations and EMS/Fire Calls
Officers investigated three crashes in April, one non injury and two injury crashes, with no fatalities. Year to date, the department has investigated three non injury crashes and two injury crashes, meaning all year to date injury crashes occurred in April.
The department responded to one medical call and four fire calls in April. Year to date totals stand at 16 medical calls and 7 fire calls.
Calls for Service
Combine officers responded to 83 total calls for service in April, bringing the year to date total to 266.
Truck route violations again led all call types, with 26 logged in April and 98 year to date. Suspicious activity calls followed with 7 in April, matching the year to date total of 7, meaning all such calls so far this year occurred in April. Meet complainant calls accounted for 6 (22 year to date), and security checks accounted for 6 as well (31 year to date).
Other notable April activity included five agency assist calls, four animal complaint calls, four follow up calls, three domestic disturbance calls, three directed patrol calls, three 911 hang up calls, three reckless driver calls, two welfare checks, two traffic hazard calls, and one each of harassment, hit and run, abandoned property, alarm call, animal bite, civil matter, gun shots, mental subject, motorist assist, noise/other disturbance, and vehicle impound calls.
Administrative and Community
Department staff logged 6 hours of paperwork related training in April, with no open records requests filed. No community events, interactions, or programming were reported for the month.
