Seagoville Water Shutoff Planned for Aug. 24

Some Seagoville residents should prepare for a temporary interruption in water service Monday, Aug. 24, as the city connects a new water main.

The City of Seagoville announced that water service will be shut off for approximately four to six hours while crews complete the connection. The city has issued a revised map identifying the area expected to be affected.

The temporary outage will impact portions of Seagoville Road, Ard Road, Midway Road, Lauren Way, Maci Court and Prescott, along with the Robinwood Addition.

Residents and businesses within the affected area are encouraged to plan ahead for the interruption, particularly if they will need water for drinking, cooking, household chores or business operations during the work period.

The city has not provided a specific start time for the shutoff, only that the work is scheduled for Monday and is expected to require approximately four to six hours.

The project is part of the city’s work to connect a new water main to the existing system. The revised service-area map released by Seagoville shows the portion of the city expected to experience the temporary disruption.

Residents should watch for any additional updates from the City of Seagoville in case the construction schedule or affected area changes before work begins.
