Local high school football fans who believe they can predict the biggest games of the season are invited to apply for a place in the Shop in Seagoville High School Football Pick’Em League.
The free contest is open to residents of Seagoville, Crandall and Combine, but participation will be limited to only 10 league members.
Applicants should have a strong knowledge of local and area high school football, including the teams, rivalries and programs competing throughout the region.

Ten Competitors and 13 Weeks of Football
The league will feature 10 competitors making selections on 10 high school football games each week.
Competition will continue for 13 weeks, including 10 regular-season weeks followed by three playoff weeks. Every participant will select the winner of each featured matchup, with correct picks contributing to the season standings.
Weekly results and cumulative totals will be recorded on the league leaderboard, allowing readers to follow the race throughout the season.
The format is designed to test more than a participant’s knowledge of one school or district. Competitors may be asked to predict games involving teams from Seagoville, Crandall and other communities across the area.
An upset, rivalry game or unexpected result could quickly change the standings, making every selection important.
Local Football Knowledge Required
The league is intended for serious high school football followers who regularly watch games, study teams and keep up with developments across the area.
Applicants should be familiar with local programs and comfortable making predictions involving multiple schools each week.
Because only 10 positions are available, submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the league. Prospective competitors should explain why they would be a strong addition to the contest and describe their familiarity with high school football.
There is no entry fee, and participants will not be required to purchase anything to compete.
Prizes for the Top Two Finishers
The competition will conclude after the third playoff week, when the season’s two highest finishers will be recognized.
The first-place finisher will receive the league championship prize, recognition as the inaugural champion and a full season of local football bragging rights.
The second-place finisher will receive the runner-up prize and recognition for an outstanding performance during the contest.

A New Way to Follow Friday Night Football
The Pick’Em League will give residents another reason to follow high school football throughout the season.
Fans will be able to monitor the weekly matchups, compare the competitors’ selections and track the standings as the regular season moves toward the playoffs.
The contest will also provide an opportunity for participants to represent their communities while demonstrating their knowledge of area football.
