The Side Hustle Price Check
Mobile detailing brings vehicle cleaning to a driveway or another approved location, saving the customer a trip to a shop.
The convenience is easy to understand, but comparing prices requires a closer look at vehicle size and the work included.
Advertised examples serving Seagoville and nearby Forney show why a basic cleaning package should be separated from restoration work.
A starting price describes an eligible vehicle and service, rather than every car in every condition.
What Nearby Providers Advertise
Bridges Mobile Detailing’s Seagoville page advertises a full-detail package starting at $129 and interior detailing starting at $125. The same page lists other services separately, including exterior detailing and headlight restoration.
Laury’s Detailing Services in Forney advertises its Black Package starting at $150 for cars and small two-row SUVs. The booking menu lists higher starting prices of $175 and $200 for larger vehicle categories.
Laury’s describes the Black Package as an exterior hand wash with wheel and tire attention, glass cleaning, interior vacuuming, and panel wipe-downs. That description helps distinguish it from more extensive shampooing or paint-correction services.
Its Gold Package starts at $250 for cars and small SUVs. Buyers comparing that figure with the Black Package should review the additional work rather than treating both as the same detail.
Choose the Cleaning You Need
Begin by identifying the main problem. A vehicle with everyday dust and road grime needs a different quote from one with embedded pet hair, heavy stains, or a neglected interior.
Send current photographs when requesting an estimate. Include the seats, carpets, cargo area, and any problem spots so the provider can assess the actual condition.
Vehicle categories also deserve confirmation. A three-row SUV, lifted truck, or large van may involve substantially more surface area and labor than a compact sedan.
Ask specifically whether shampooing, stain treatment, odor work, or paint decontamination is included. The word “detail” alone does not establish which of those services the customer is buying.
Confirm the Driveway Arrangements
Mobile service depends on having a suitable place to work. Ask about access, parking restrictions, water or electricity requirements, and whether the provider can work at an apartment complex or workplace.
Confirm whether the advertised price includes travel to the exact address. Bridges’ Seagoville page states that addresses within its primary service zone have no trip charge.
Weather and scheduling can also affect the appointment. Establish how cancellations or rescheduling work before arranging to leave a vehicle available for several hours.
The most useful comparison is a written total for the same vehicle and cleaning checklist. That gives the customer a clearer decision than choosing whichever advertisement uses the lowest number beside the word “detail.”
