CRANDALL — RPM Speedway will host a consequential stop in the American Sprint Car Series championship chase Saturday, Oct. 10, with national and regional sprint car competitors joining a full evening of racing scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
The event brings the ASCS National Tour and Sooner Region to the quarter-mile dirt track at 1267 County Road 4104. Riddle Brothers Roofing & Construction is the presenting sponsor listed on the event flyer.
For nearby fans, Saturday’s program offers a chance to watch a national championship battle close to home as the season approaches its final weekend.
Texas Driver Leads Championship Fight
Sunnyvale driver Sam Hafertepe Jr. enters the Crandall event holding a 38-point advantage over Oklahoma’s Matt Covington, according to the series’ Oct. 6 preview.
Hafertepe has recorded six feature victories this season, compared with Covington’s two. He also leads their comparison in top-five finishes, 17 to 15, although Covington has more heat-race wins and top-10 finishes.
Saturday’s sprint car feature is scheduled for 30 laps and pays $4,000 to the winner. After RPM, the national tour concludes with races Oct. 16–17 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
The Crandall track last hosted the national series in 2024, when Seth Bergman and Hafertepe won the two features during a doubleheader weekend. Both return to the championship story this season, with Bergman pursuing another national title.

The event lists ASCS 360 Sprint Cars, Rick Murray Electric Factory Stocks, Riddle Brothers Limited Modifieds and Toddler Mods. Modifieds have been added to the advertised lineup.
