Crandall Seeks Cotton Harvest Festival Participants

Date:

Preparations are underway for the 2026 Cotton Harvest Festival, with organizers accepting applications from vendors, sponsors, runners, car owners and entertainers interested in participating in the annual community celebration.

The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Crandall. Planned attractions include live music, vendors and crafts, food, family activities, the Cotton Dash fun run and the Cotton Classic Car Show.

The Greater Crandall Chamber of Commerce is coordinating festival registration through a single online application covering sponsorships, mercantile and food vendors, race participants, car-show entries and pancake-breakfast tickets.

Vendor Applications Available

Mercantile spaces measuring 10 feet by 10 feet are available for $75. The application identifies cottage bakers, artisans, craftspeople and informational booths as eligible mercantile participants. Nonprofit organizations seeking space for informational or fundraising purposes may apply for a reduced $50 fee.

Mercantile vendors are responsible for providing their own tents, tables, chairs and display equipment. Tents must be properly anchored, and vendors requesting electricity must supply an outdoor extension cord and outlet strip.

Participating vendors must be set up by 9:45 a.m. and remain open until the festival closes at 8 p.m.

Food-vendor spaces are priced at $150 and are limited. Completed applications and payment are required to confirm participation. Food vendors must display a valid food-handler permit and provide proof of liability insurance.

Food vendors must be ready by 9:30 a.m. and remain open through the conclusion of the festival. Quiet generators are preferred, although limited electrical service is available.

Cotton Dash Registration Opens

The Cotton Dash will offer both a 5K and a one-mile race. Registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for students. The entry fee includes a festival T-shirt and pancake breakfast.

Organizers identified Coach Brad Scoggin and Stacy McKinney as the Cotton Dash coordinators. Participants may select either race when completing the registration form.

Pancake-breakfast tickets may also be purchased separately for $5. The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, fruit and a beverage, according to the registration information.

Car Show Planned Downtown

The Cotton Classic Car Show is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m., with awards presented at 2:30 p.m. Registration costs $20.

The show, organized by Gabby’s Auto Show, is expected to recognize the top 20 entries along with Best of Show selections, a club award and a Veterans’ Choice award.

Sponsorship Opportunities Offered

Festival sponsorship packages range from business-banner placements to the event’s top sponsorship level.

Available opportunities include the $5,000 Cotton Patch King sponsorship, a $3,500 Trunk Railway Stage sponsorship, a $1,000 Cotton Dash sponsorship and a $500 Cotton Classic Car Show sponsorship.

New business-banner sponsorships cost $225. A $125 returning-banner option is also listed for businesses with an eligible banner already on file.

Organizers are additionally seeking entertainers interested in being part of the festival program. A complete performance schedule has not yet been announced.

Applications and registration are available through the Chamber’s 2026 Cotton Harvest Festival form. Festival questions may be sent by text to coordinator Tamara Chappell at 469-767-5612.
