Central Elementary School is inviting grandparents to join their grandchildren for a special dance Friday, Sept. 11, as the campus celebrates National Grandparents Day.
The Grandparents Day Dance will be held during each participating student’s regularly scheduled Specials period. Because Specials schedules vary by grade level or class, families should confirm the applicable time when registering.
Admission is $5 per grandparent, with a maximum of two grandparents permitted for each child. Every grandparent attending the dance must be registered in advance.
In-person registration will be available during a limited three-day window:
- Tuesday, Sept. 8
- Wednesday, Sept. 9
- Thursday, Sept. 10
Registration hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The school emphasized that no registrations will be accepted on the day of the event because of the limited time available during the school schedule.
Central Elementary described the dance as an opportunity for grandparents and students to spend time together while “making memories together.”
The celebration will take place two days before National Grandparents Day, which falls on Sunday, Sept. 13, in 2026. The annual observance is held on the first Sunday following Labor Day.
Central Elementary is a Dallas Independent School District campus serving students from prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school is located at 902 Shady Lane in Seagoville.
Families seeking additional information about registration, payment or their child’s Specials schedule should contact Central Elementary directly at 972-749-6800 before the registration period closes.
