Keep Seagoville Beautiful is asking residents to help identify some of the community’s best-maintained residential yards and business properties as nominations open for its September recognition programs.
The organization is currently accepting nominations for both September Yard of the Month and September Business Landscape of the Month. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Sept. 11.
Keep Seagoville Beautiful, commonly known as KSB, is a city-affiliated organization established to support beautification, litter control and community improvement efforts in Seagoville. The organization is also an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful.
September Yard of the Month
Residents who see a particularly attractive or well-maintained residential landscape are encouraged to nominate the property for Yard of the Month.
Nominations may be posted through the Keep Seagoville Beautiful Facebook page or submitted privately through a Facebook message.
Nominators should provide the exact street address of the property along with a photograph of the landscaping. Providing a complete address is important so KSB can properly identify and evaluate the nominated property.
The deadline for September Yard of the Month nominations is Friday, Sept. 11.
Businesses Can Be Recognized, Too
KSB is simultaneously accepting nominations for September Business Landscape of the Month.
Residents can nominate a Seagoville business that stands out because of its landscaping or a particularly clean and attractive storefront.
As with residential nominations, residents should provide the business’s exact street address and a photograph showing the landscaping or storefront. Nominations can be posted on KSB’s Facebook page or sent through a private message.
The deadline is also Friday, Sept. 11.
Community Beautification Program
The recognition programs are part of Keep Seagoville Beautiful’s broader effort to encourage property maintenance, beautification and community pride.
KSB was established by city ordinance in 2006. In addition to recognizing residential and commercial properties, the organization participates in litter-control and beautification projects throughout the community.
