Six students from Seagoville, Crandall and Combine have received academic honors from The University of Texas at Tyler for their achievements during the Spring 2026 semester.
UT Tyler announced that Charlie Tipton of Combine earned a place on the university’s Spring 2026 Dean’s List.
To qualify for the university Dean’s List, an undergraduate student must complete at least 12 credit hours of college-level coursework during the semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.
Separate eligibility requirements apply to students in the Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy. A pharmacy student must complete at least six credit hours during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.75 or higher. Only courses within the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum or approved Fisch College of Pharmacy and UT Tyler electives are included in the GPA calculation.
UT Tyler also recognized five area students who earned an even more selective academic distinction by being named to the Spring 2026 President’s Honor Roll.

To qualify for the President’s Honor Roll, a student must complete at least 12 credit hours of undergraduate college-level coursework during one semester and receive an “A” in every course.
The President’s Honor Roll is awarded only during the fall and spring semesters to students pursuing bachelor’s degrees. Students who receive the President’s Honor Roll distinction are not also named to the Dean’s List.
The accomplishments of Tipton, Plaza, Sixtos, Rodriguez, Venrick and Wood reflect the dedication, preparation and time management required to succeed while carrying a demanding college course load. Their academic achievements also bring recognition to their families and the communities of Seagoville, Crandall and Combine.
