The Seagoville Animal Shelter is asking the community for help as it works through a heavy kitten season, with a growing number of cats, kittens, and mother cats with litters currently in its care.
According to the shelter, the increase in feline intake has led to a significant rise in the amount of cat litter needed to keep the animals comfortable and cared for.
The shelter typically purchases Special Kitty Non Clumping Fragrance Free Cat Litter, citing it as the best priced option currently available at Walmart in 48 pound bags. However, the shelter noted that donations of any brand, purchased from any retailer, are welcome. The shelter specified a preference for non clumping, fragrance free litter.
Donations can be dropped off in person or shipped directly to the shelter at 500 E. Farmers Rd., Seagoville, TX 75159.
The Seagoville Animal Shelter emphasized that every donation makes a difference, and expressed gratitude in advance to community members who are able to contribute during this high need period.
