The Combine Police Department released its Monthly Activity Report for May 2026, showing zero Part I crimes reported during the month and continued heavy enforcement along the city’s truck routes.
Criminal Activity
According to the department’s report, Combine recorded no Part I offenses in May, which includes criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny/theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson. Year to date, the department has logged 3 Part I crimes, made up of one burglary, one larceny/theft, and one motor vehicle theft.
Part II offenses, which include fraud, criminal mischief, weapons offenses, narcotics offenses, DWI, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication, also stood at zero for May. The department has recorded one Part II offense year to date, a weapons offense.
Traffic Enforcement
Officers conducted 41 traffic stops in May, bringing the year to date total to 267. Of those May stops, 32 resulted in citations, pushing the year to date citation count to 216.
Arrest Activity
No felony or misdemeanor arrests were made in May. Year to date, the department has made two misdemeanor arrests and zero felony arrests.
Crash Investigations and EMS/Fire Calls
No crashes, whether non injury, injury, or fatal, were investigated in May. Year to date, the department has investigated three non injury crashes and two injury crashes, with no fatalities.
The department responded to three medical calls and three fire calls in May. Year to date totals stand at 19 medical calls and 10 fire calls.
Calls for Service
Combine officers responded to 42 total calls for service in May, bringing the year to date total to 323.
Truck route violations were the most common call type by far, with 14 logged in May and 127 year to date. Security checks followed with 7 calls in May (38 year to date), and meet complainant calls accounted for 3 (25 year to date).
Other notable May activity included two domestic disturbance calls, two agency assist calls, two motorist assist calls, one gun shots call, one deceased person call, one harassment call, one animal complaint, one animal cruelty call, one abandoned property call, one accidental shooting call, one alarm call, and one 911 hang up call. The department also logged three suspicious activity calls and one welfare check.
Administrative and Community
Department staff logged 6 hours of paperwork related training in May, with no open records requests filed. No community events, interactions, or programming were reported for the month.
