CRANDALL — The Crandall City Council held a special meeting Friday, May 8, 2026, to formally swear in three councilmembers following the recent municipal election.
Mayor David Lindsey called the meeting to order at 9:15 a.m. at the Crandall Court Chambers, located at 104 East Trunk Street. After leading the invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, Lindsey conducted roll call. All councilmembers were present and a quorum was confirmed.
The mayor then administered the Oath of Office individually to Councilmembers Stacy McKinney, George Martinez, and Scott Rogers. Each councilmember signed their Oath of Office and Statement of Elected Official paperwork following the swearing in.
The meeting was brief. Councilmember Martinez made a motion to adjourn at 9:21 a.m., which was seconded by Councilmember Allen. The motion passed with a unanimous vote of 4 to 0.
The session was held in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act under Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code. The meeting was signed off by Mayor David Lindsey and City Secretary Sabrina Del Bosque.
