Seagoville Animal Shelter: Free Adoptions & Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic

The Seagoville Animal Shelter is continuing its Clear the Shelters campaign with free dog and cat adoptions through Saturday, Aug. 22, giving area residents an opportunity to add a pet to their family without an adoption fee.

Each adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and a microchip. Going-home adoption bags will also be provided while supplies last.

The shelter is encouraging residents interested in adopting to consider its cats as well as dogs currently waiting for homes.

Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic Planned for Sept. 26

Spay Neuter Network and the Seagoville Animal Shelter are also scheduled to hold a low-cost vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to noon at the shelter, 500 E. Farmers Road in Seagoville.

In addition to vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention and other preventive services are expected to be available at reduced prices.

Spay Neuter Network provides low-cost vaccinations and wellness services for dogs and cats, including rabies and combination vaccines, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and microchipping.

No appointments will be accepted for the Seagoville event. Pet owners are encouraged to arrive early because service is first-come, first-served and the line may close once the clinic reaches capacity. That procedure is consistent with Spay Neuter Network’s vaccination clinics, which may stop accepting clients when maximum capacity is reached.

Current vaccine and preventive-care prices are available through the Spay Neuter Network vaccination services page.
