Seagoville Middle School will welcome students and their families to campus during an open house scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
The event will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will give families an opportunity to meet their children’s teachers and coaches before the beginning of the new school year.
Students and parents will also be able to tour the campus, become familiar with classrooms and learn where important areas of the school are located. Visiting the building before classes begin can help students feel more comfortable navigating hallways, stairways and other parts of the campus.
The open house will provide families with an early opportunity to establish connections with the educators and staff members who will work with students throughout the year. Parents may also use the visit to ask questions about classroom expectations, daily routines, academic programs and extracurricular opportunities.
For students entering a new campus or beginning middle school for the first time, attending the event may help reduce some of the uncertainty that often accompanies the first day. Meeting teachers and seeing classrooms in advance can make the transition feel more familiar and manageable.
Coaches will also be available during the open house, giving students interested in athletics an opportunity to make introductions and learn more about campus sports programs.
Families are encouraged to attend together and allow enough time to walk through the building, locate classrooms and meet the teachers and coaches connected to their student’s schedule.
