Seagoville Academy Construction Is Underway
But Dallas ISD Has Not Confirmed a New Opening Date

Construction has started on Dallas ISD’s new Seagoville Academy. Families still do not have a confirmed date for when the school will open.
The academy will serve students from PreK through eighth grade. It sits near Seagoville Road and East Stark Road.
The project is funded through the 2020 bond program. Voters approved that program years ago.
August 2027 was once the target opening year. Dallas ISD’s own dashboard now lists that date as TBD.
How the Timeline Has Shifted
A Dallas ISD presentation from August 2025 laid out an early schedule. It pointed to an August 2027 opening.
A June 2026 release from design firm KAI repeated that same target. Neither source is confirmed today.
