The CYSA Pirates will open their new season Saturday, Aug. 29, with four games scheduled throughout the day against teams from Rockwall-Heath and Forney.
The organization is encouraging Crandall families to make the trip, wear black and gold and support the young Pirates as they begin another season of youth football.
Games will be played at two Rockwall-Heath facilities, beginning with the youngest divisions Saturday morning and continuing through the sixth-grade game Saturday evening. Rockwall ISD confirms both game locations and addresses listed by CYSA.
Saturday’s CYSA Football Schedule
The K/1 Pirates begin the day at 10:15 a.m. against the Rockwall-Heath Hawks Vela team at the Rockwall-Heath Ninth-Grade Campus, listed on the CYSA game-day graphic as Heath Freshman Center.
The 2/3 division follows at 1:30 p.m. against the Rockwall-Heath Hawks Gunderson team at the same location.

The afternoon schedule shifts to Rockwall-Heath High School.
The 4/5 Pirates face the Forney Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m., followed by the sixth-grade Pirates against the Rockwall-Heath Hawks Watts at 6 p.m.

Admission and Game-Day Information
CYSA has also released several guidelines for families attending Saturday’s games.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children or students, while children age 5 and younger are admitted free. Cash, cards and Venmo will be accepted at the gate.
Spectators should park only in designated parking spaces. Parking on grass or in fire lanes is prohibited, and emergency-access areas must remain clear.
Only players, coaches, referees, chain-crew members and cheerleaders are permitted on the field. CYSA says badges are required for authorized field access.
Fans may bring canopies and umbrellas, but they should be placed at the top of the bleachers or in grassy areas so they do not obstruct other spectators’ views.
Families should also plan ahead for the Texas heat. Water will not be provided, although concessions will be available at the games.
Alcohol and illegal substances are prohibited. CYSA says violations can result in removal from the facility and possible bans from future games.
A New Season for the Pirates
Saturday represents the first game day of the season for CYSA football and an opportunity for Crandall’s youngest football players to begin another fall representing the Pirates.
CYSA provides youth athletic opportunities in the Crandall community, including organized football programs for elementary and middle-school-age players.
With four teams taking the field Saturday, the organization is asking Pirate families to bring the energy and help fill the stands as the season gets underway.
