Introducing the 2026 Preseason All-District 7-5A Division I Offense

Realignment scattered eight programs into a single district with no consensus favorite, but it did something else, too: it concentrated an unusual amount of proven offensive talent under one roof.
Walk the sideline of a District 7-5A Division I game this fall and there’s a real chance you’re watching a future college signee — sometimes two or three of them, on the same field, in the same series.
Crandall, West Mesquite and Tyler account for most of the district’s marquee skill-position names. North Mesquite, largely overlooked in the preseason projections, quietly returns as much offensive-line experience as anyone in the league. Putting it all together produces one of the more talented preseason units this district has seen in years.
The following selections make up the Shop in Seagoville Preseason All-District Offense — based on 2025 production, returning experience, prior all-district recognition and preseason expectations. These are preseason picks, not official postseason honors.
Quarterback
Isaac Briones

Briones earns the nod largely because he’s the district’s most proven returning passer, completing nearly 70 percent of his throws while sharing the job last season. He now takes over an offense built around two of the district’s best skill players, at a moment when both West Mesquite and Tyler are still sorting out their own quarterback situations.

Jeremiah Douglas

Trey Haralson
Joins McMiller to give Tyler two legitimate college prospects at the skill positions. Haralson approached 1,000 receiving yards last season and is one of the central reasons the Lions are drawing championship buzz despite a losing record a year ago.

Tight End
Elektra Smith

At 6-foot-1 and more than 200 pounds, Smith gives West Mesquite a legitimate two-way threat capable of both blocking on the edge and working as a receiving option in the middle of the field.
Offensive Line
North Mesquite doesn’t crack the top three in either major preseason projection, but its offensive line might be the most experienced group in the entire district.

Just Missed the First Team
- Terrence Collins, North Mesquite, RB — Returns off a 1,022-yard, 17-touchdown season.
- Lovell Neal, W.T. White, WR — Returning all-district receiver and Colorado State commit.
- Roshaun Smith, West Mesquite, RB — Rushed for 536 yards and seven touchdowns, giving the Wranglers a third experienced option in the backfield.
- Christian Ingram, Crandall, RB — Averaged 6.38 yards per carry as the proven second option behind Ward.
- Kairon Evans, North Mesquite, WR — Caught a touchdown on four receptions and should see an expanded role in 2026.
The Bottom Line
The strength of this preseason team is the backfield. Robinson, Ward, McMiller and Collins give the district four returning runners capable of a major season, each backed up by an equally credible second option behind him. Crandall may enter August with the district’s best quarterback-receiver pairing, while West Mesquite and North Mesquite bring back the bulk of the proven line experience.
That much returning talent, spread across that many rosters, should make the race for the official postseason All-District team nearly as competitive as the district standings themselves.
