The early bird pricing window for the 2026 Some Run closed at the end of July, but registration for Seagoville’s signature fall charity race remains open at standard rates.

Runners, walkers and families still have time to claim a spot before the sixth annual event steps off Saturday, October 3, at Bruce Central Park.

According to the A-T Children’s Project, 2025 was a record year for the Some Run, and organizers are building on that momentum for 2026 with an expanded lineup of race day activities, including a new post race celebration called Seagofest.

Every dollar raised through the Some Run supports the A-T Children’s Project and its search for treatments and a cure for Ataxia Telangiectasia, a rare genetic disease that gradually robs children of muscle control, weakens the immune system and sharply raises the risk of cancer.

Over five years, the Seagoville event has grown into one of the organization’s signature fundraisers, pairing athletic competition with a hometown block party feel.

Four Ways To Take Part

The competitive Timed 5K remains the marquee event, run on a course organizers describe as fast and flat, friendly to first time racers while still rewarding anyone chasing a personal best.

For those who would rather move at their own speed, the untimed Walk and Roll division covers the same 5K course without a clock, welcoming walkers and participants using mobility equipment alike.

Families and anyone not up for a full 5K can join the Shuffle, a half mile loop around the park pond that keeps young children, older relatives and casual visitors part of the action.

Not able to make it out that morning? The Stay In Bed option lets supporters back the cause from home, no alarm clock required.

What Is New For 2026

Race day activities go well beyond the finish line this year.

Organizers are bringing back arm wrestling, raffles, free Starbucks coffee and tea, and free Chick fil A Chicken Minis, along with the Faces of A-T display, where participants can meet the children they are running in honor of.

Once the course clears, the celebration shifts into Seagofest, a new after event featuring live music, food trucks and carnival rides for the whole family.

Packet Pickup, Parking and Weather

Early packet pickup is available Friday, October 2, from 11 am to 7 pm at the Bruce Central Park gazebo, 1801 N Highway 175 in Seagoville. Same day pickup runs from 6:15 to 7:30 am on race morning.

Free parking is available for participants, but organizers note the street closes to traffic at 7:30 am, so an early arrival is recommended. Volunteers will be on hand directing cars into the lot.

Infants and toddlers under 36 months may join for free if riding in a stroller with a registered adult, though they will not receive a shirt or medal. The Some Run goes on rain or shine.
