More than three years after a Seagoville man was found shot inside a burning car in northwest Dallas, his family is still waiting for answers and the reward for information remains unclaimed.
Larry Gosha grew up in Seagoville, the kind of guy who showed up when family needed him. According to his cousin Alajah Montgomery, he was especially attentive to his grandmother and brought energy into a room just by being in it. He worked as a delivery driver and was chasing a dream as a rapper. In December 2022, just days before his 26th birthday, that future was cut short, and his family is still waiting for the answers they were promised.
What Happened
According to FOX 4 Dallas Fort Worth, Gosha went out on a Friday night in December 2022 and never returned home. Firefighters discovered his body inside a burning Mercedes the following Saturday near Walnut Hill Lane and Harry Hines Boulevard in northwest Dallas. Investigators determined that someone had fired multiple shots into the vehicle, though it was not immediately clear how the fire started.
The case fell under Dallas Police Department jurisdiction since the scene was located in northwest Dallas, even though Gosha called Seagoville home.
A Family Still Searching
In the days following his death, Gosha’s family spoke publicly in hopes that someone with information would come forward. Montgomery described her cousin as a caring, helpful person who never let a moment go dull, and said she simply wants to know why it happened to him and why it happened then.
The Reward: At the time of his death, a $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
